  • How do I get there?

    • We are on Hwy 172, off Hwy 36, about halfway between Red Bluff and Susanville.

  • When are you open?

    • Our full operating season is May through October. During this time our cabins, RV park, campground, glamping tents are open. We continue to rent cabins through January.

  • Where’s the nearest town for services?

    • Chester is located 25 miles east where you will find full services such as a grocery store, hospital, and many gas stations, restaurants, and banks.

  • Is there cell phone service or Wi-Fi available at the resort?

    • There is spotty cell phone service around the property, with AT&T having the best coverage. We do not have Wi-Fi at the resort, nor is there any available anywhere in Mill Creek. There are a few businesses in Chester that offer free Wi-Fi access.

  • Are you dog-friendly?

    • Yes! We just ask that you keep your furry friend leashed and picked-up after at all times. Cabin guests will be charged $25 per night for their pets & two pets max allowed per cabin.

  • Is there a restaurant or camp store on the property?

    • No, we do not currently have a restaurant or camp store at Mill Creek Resort. There are several restaurants and convenience stores within a 10-minute drive.

  • Is the water drinkable?

    • Yes! Every drop from the spigots in the campground, the faucets located in the RV park, bathhouse, and cabins, are potable.

  • Is there creek access at the resort?

    • Yes, there is a short but steep trail to the creek located behind campsite 13.

  • Are there bears?!

    • Yes and no. Bears do not pose a huge threat to our guests, although there have been sightings and evidence of bears in Mill Creek over the years. To be cautious and not teach the bears where to score a free meal, we suggest that food be kept out of their reach when left unattended. They tend to be reclusive and scared of people and we want to keep it that way.

  • What is there to do in the area?

    • We are surrounded by thousands of acres to explore and enjoy. See our Nature Unlimited page for adventure inspiration.

  • Can I have a campfire?

    • Absolutely, it’s one of our favorite things about camping! We provide fire pits in all our campsites and cabins. Wood is for sale at the resort for $6/bundle. For obvious safety reasons, our policy requires that campfires are put out cold before being left unattended.

  • What’s included in the campsites?

    • See our campground page here for more info.

  • What’s included in the cabins?

    • See our cabin page here for more info.
