At Mill Creek Resort, we thrive on creating connections. We invite you to explore the possibilities of hosting your next gathering at our wooded property in Northern California. Immerse yourselves into the serene beauty of Lassen that nurtures community building, well-being, and deep connection.
Our resort is the ideal destination for groups of 50-100 people. Enjoy the private, exclusive use of the entire 12 acres of property.
Amenities:
Our beautiful, historic lodge acts as the hub for activities, meetings, and meals. Our dining room and back porch can accommodate seating for a total of 80 people. Use of the commercial kitchen is available, and we can refer recommended caterers for the occasion if needed. Our studio is great for more intimate group settings of 25-30 people.
Our lower meadow and new cedar deck are inviting for groups of all sizes and can seat 60 people. The deck is equipped with power, lights, and shade sails, and picnic tables are available for outdoor seating. For folding chairs, tables, and tents, see our approved vendor list here.
Please note the bathrooms in our vintage lodge are not ADA-compliant. If you’re in need of renting ADA portable restrooms or are hosting a group of 80+ people, please see our approved vendor list for sanitation providers.

Lodging and accomodations:
Our cozy, vintage cabins are rustic but include all the modern amenities like fully stocked kitchens and bathrooms and have all towels, linens, and bedding provided. Our vintage RVs have kitchenettes and are also fully stocked. Guests have access to a private, shared bath house with showers, flush toilets, and a laundromat. Our glamping tent guests also have access to these shared facilities and are stocked with bedding and towels. Guests are also welcome to camp in our tent sites or RV park. Cookstoves and cookware are available for rent for campers. See the accommodations tab on our website for more information about our accommodations.
Location:
Mill Creek Resort is located just 15 minutes from the Southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park and is the perfect jumping-off point for adventures of all kinds. We’re just 1.5 hours east of Redding and 1.5 hours west of Susanville off Hwy 36. Nearby communities include Lake Almanor, Mineral, and Child’s Meadow, offering a variety of dining and shopping, as well as plenty of recreation opportunities like golf, water sports, and cycling. For full services, including fuel, banks, a hospital, and groceries, Chester is just 30 minutes away.

When you hold a gathering at Mill Creek Resort, your group will enjoy the magnificent surroundings, comfortable lodging, and a welcoming atmosphere. At almost 5,000’ elevation, huge cedar and fir trees dominate the skyline while the sound of birds and the babbling waters of Mill Creek fill the air. Running parallel to the southeast edge of the resort, Mill Creek is a 60-mile California Pristine Waterway that drains from the south side of Lassen Peak to the Sacramento River. Our main season runs May through October, but we can accommodate Winter retreats or events.
To see our available dates, please see our event calendar below. Beginning January 15th, our general reservations open for the season, which will limit available dates for a full-resort buyout option. We offer more availability for midweek retreats and events.
